Back in 2008, ADRIATASTIC! was born, a day or two right after my birthday.1
I have to remind myself constantly that the 30s are the new 20s in this decade.2
Today is also Columbus Day. Regardless of whether people celebrate this day or not, it doesn’t change the fact that it is not a holiday and that you still have to attend school and/or go to work. After all, it’s Monday.
In Canada, it’s also their Thanksgiving Day. I have relatives who live in Canada and are celebrating it. Of course, they didn’t forget to call me at home just to greet me.
I am not the only person in my family who celebrates this day. Two uncles, one female second cousin, and one male nephew also share the same birthday as me.
This weekend is my brother’s birthday.3 Like myself, he has to remind himself that the 30s are the new 20s.
This year’s birthday is the first time that I didn’t receive any tangible gifts. Instead, they were replaced by monetary checks because even though I already have a (temporary) job, they still see me as poor.
My brother’s birthday is also my early morning doctor’s appointment to check up on my diabetes. I’ve been good with my healthy living and eating habits.
Today (October 15th in the Philippines), a 7.5 earthquake just hit the Visayas area, causing massive damage around the areas. And just like my frustrations with disaster reliefs with the yearly typhoon floods, I’m about to start ranting about their earthquake preparedness4 I’m praying for those who were in the area and that they are safe.
As for this blog/site, I feel that it needs another makeover. I have been fooling around with premium frameworks and I think I’m ready to rebuild this site with a fresh new theme. I will also have to trim my blog also and remove all the unnecessary sections that have been there for man years but never been altered in any way. Absolutely.
It’s almost 10:00 p.m. Normally I would head to bed at around past 12 midnight, but lately since I started working, I have been sleeping earlier because of my fatigue— as early as 11:00 p.m.
In about a few days, my license for Artisteer will be expired and that I would have to renew it again. With these new frameworks, I’m already thinking twice about renewing, but let’s just see what happens.
That’s it for my 2013 birthday post. I bid y’all adieu.
