I have a similar thing going on at my parent’s house, they’re renovating parts of the house and when I return it’s just lots of things in boxes and replacement of floorings, furniture etc. I no longer live with them because of my new job (and life!) and so live in a rented apartment with Matt – I don’t have to worry about changing anything because I like how everything is! (Rented apartments have it’s up and downsides haha)

It’s so awesome that during this cleaning up that you found some old memories. You really hit me with CLAMP, I remember being obsessed with them too! I don’t remember the story much but I do remember the ending being SO weird because there were duplicates or clones of Sakura and the other guy? Hahahaha. I don’t remember but it was weird!

    Good luck on jobs!

Oh, you’re talking about Tsubasa Chronicle. It’s a completely different story, kind of like an “alternate universe” story of Card Captor Sakura. Same characters, very different roles, and very different world. Unfortunately, I didn’t find Tsubasa Chronicle as appealing as CCS. However, CCS now has a sequel that’s currently on today known as the “Clear Card Arc.” This one takes place after the manga ending (when they’re in middle school and Syaoran returns to Tomoeda after some years later).

I’m stuck at the area downstairs that used to be known as the “master” dining room LOL. I made it my personal temporary space now, and the house is so dusty and fumes here and there, it was like we were in some kind of a natural disaster LOL.

Sounds like you and Matt are getting along with a new city and environment. Cheers to the both of you and a brand-new life after university. 😄

Man, I’ve been doing some decluttering and cleaning and room renovations too! I’ve been so used to living with so little stuff back in my rental apartment in Taipei, so now I’m overwhlemed by how much stuff I have in my bedroom in the Philippines XD

You had so many collectibles! That’s pretty intense fangirling right there! XD I also have Cardcaptor Sakura collectibles and to be honest, I didn’t know what to do with them because everything was still in excellent condition so I just donated them somewhere haha!

Right now, I’m in the process of moving back in, but this time, I moved into my sister’s old room. Bigger, roomier, and has a better view outside the window LOL. I plan on writing another blog entry here with some photos of my new room, but as of this moment, things are really messy and disorganized at the moment. But you know, after all this intense decluttering and minimalist organizing, it feels like I’ve also refreshed myself as a person too if you know what I mean. It’s like everything that still lingered in my past has finally been lifted off my shoulders, so to speak. 😅

I figured, I’m in the MADKID fandom now and I must make room for all the collectibles and memorabilia, thus I’m prepared to let all of my ARASHI/Johnny’s mementos go. However, most of MADKID’s collectibles and memorabilia are all online and digital. I just recently got their seasonal magazine and the member individual photo books— eBooks. 😅 So far, the only physical item that I have of MADKID is their latest single CD. I can easily get them from iTunes and Spotify but I wanted to have their limited edition CD because they include a DVD of the behind the scenes clips of their single’s music video. And, unlike the idols I followed a decade ago, where I would just admire them from afar, with MADKID, I can easily talk to them through their livestream sessions, Instagram Lives, and even on Twitter LOL.

There’s still some more undiscovered treasures. In fact, my parents and I found a huge stash of really nice (and expensive) sneakers that both my sisters bought years ago and only worn once. They both wanted us to donate them, but decided to go through the “hand me down” method and I decided to own them. They’re all mine now haha!

I sold half of my Card Captor Sakura collectibles except for that 20th anniversary digest art book. I also owned the original art books that the artwork contained in that anniversary book back then, but I also sold them at my local used bookstore. So, that anniversary book is the only CCS item that I decided to keep.

I love cleaning and finding things that I haven’t seen in ages! I always end up taking forever to finish cleaning because I end up on the floor, looking through stuff and reflecting back on the past. Looks like you found lots of treasures! :)

    Great site by the way!

Hi Dee, thanks for stopping by! Welcome!

I’m naturally lazy because I spend a lot online and mostly taking courses in web dev, coding, programming, etc. I still question myself until now as to why I’ve kept so many of those collectibles for the longest time and not even bother trying to clean and re-organize them. But right now, as I move into my new room little by little, the more that I find easier to determine which ones still “spark joy” to me and which ones don’t.

But, I promised to myself now, new room, new beginnings, and that I need to be more careful with the stuff I get into, stuff I buy, and even where to store or organize them. :)

Sometimes its fun to de-clutter. You do find some cool old stuff you forgot about. One thing I need to do…someday.

Yay for new glasses! I love getting new ones. =3

I’m enjoying both my new glasses and sunglasses, but then because of the weather lately, I find myself not being able to use my sunglasses even more, especially for driving and just spending time outdoors.

Decluttering can be difficult because you can get distracted by all the things you’ve kept from the past. When you do see them, you start to reminisce and then you lose concentration. I’m a victim of that and I need to conquer that weakness, so to speak. ^^

That’s totally funny that I saw Card Captor Sakura manga and merch when I’m listening to the new opening of Clear. It’s a great song =) Maaya Sakamoto always knocks it out of the park!

Glad that you managed to get renovations done.

I’ve completely lost touch w/ CCS. I knew there was a Clear Card arc sequel that was being worked on back in 2016 and I was actually trying to rebuild one of my old CCS shrines back in the 2000s using a framework and a static site generator, but it just fell through. I’m completely drawn back into J-Pop (non-anime related) and back to being a fan of Japanese boy groups once more. ^^

The renovations were already completed but I haven’t really settled much into it. I still got my stuff downstairs in the garage but then life has taken over again. I haven’t even written a blog entry for September yet. XD
