After months and months of getting a portion of my life getting sucked in to Lucent Heart,1 I have learned quite a few things about gamers who plays such as this altogether: Anything involving having a soul mate or in-game marriages or anything similar can bring the worst of us.
In addition to that, bug fixes involving the exploitation of gold has gotten everyone selfish and greedy, so much, that even the ones whom you thought are friends turn out to be suckups so you can give them your stuff should you decide to quit the game for good.
In the beginning, my true intent of playing that game was to do “research” for my now-halted story, Hawkeye K.O., but instead I get sucked in to the game that I completely abandoned my writing project and everything else. Still, meeting and becoming friends, especially if you have met someone from far away becomes your best friend/BFF, is definitely the most rewarding experience I had with the game. Everything else involving other players who act like attention seekers and drama queens on Whole Zone chat mode are the ones I do not miss at all. Seriously, get over it. No one cares.
From all the Christmas money that I earned, I was able to buy a used (but still functional) PS32 along with the game that every console gamer have been raving about: Destiny. I just had to for two reasons: I love elaborate FPS games with a bit of an MMO-style community of players whom you can play with, and second, I wanted to play with my best friend before he leaves for his 6-month military training sometime next week.
I haven’t played console games since my Nintendo DS3 but I have missed playing the games I loved playing, like the Final Fantasy games, the Tales series, and all other RPG games I loved. I’ just happy that because of the release of the PS4 that everything PS3-related is now a lot more affordable.
It’s 2015. I vowed to myself to have a more peaceful, more fulfilling year. No more in-game drama, seriously. This is all about gaming for the seek of having fun with the ones whom you will eventually become friends with.
