Yay for the rain! Sounds like you needed it!

Sometimes rainy days can be fun. I used to like to swim when it rained. XD

What do you do on heavy rainy days?: Usually sleep or read I think.
What does the rain mean to you?: Hm…honestly not much. Other then nice water for plants!
Do you like rainy days or you prefer endless sunny days?: I like both honestly. Though I prefer it to do one or the other and not drive my sinus’ crazy!
Do endless rainy days make you feel that your home may be crying?: Never thought of that, so no.

Haha, thanks for sharing. I guess I was a bit sentimental these past few days that I ended up writing about the rainy weather in general when the storm hit my area really hard for the past week. Plus, I got some other “issues” that I had to sort out by staying away from social media and the internet in general LOL.

The plants in my family garden have been thriving and healthy, and I thank the rain for it. Ever since my dad was diagnosed, he started to work less and less in the garden, so therefore the endless rainy days really helped. :)

I hope the drought is completely gone eventually. Relax during those rainy days, they’re good for sleeping.

Yup, they are. I should be sleeping, but I’ve been having some strange sleeping habits as of late. I had to work at 4am-2pm the entire month of December, and ever since then I haven’t been sleeping properly, so to speak. I’m doing all I can to be productive right now and I don’t feel sleepy at all.

And yes, I do pray that the drought will be gone, mainly so my mom won’t have to nag me with “lowering down the faucet” while washing the dishes. That’s a lot worse and slower, considering that even if you’re using less water, you’re also wasting water at the same time because you’re washing the dishes slower than you would when you slightly turn on your faucet in a stronger blast. Just bleh LOL.

Wow, I didn’t know that there was a drought in California. Normally, people hate the rain but in this situation, a rainy day is indeed a relief!

I love rainy days in the Philippines. I just love to stay home, chill out, sleep, read, or do anything that doesn’t require me to go out of the house. I get a bit sentimental when it’s rainy too, so I often listen to or record music when it happens :P

Rainy days in Taipei are another story, though. See, when it rains in Taipei, it’s accompanied with strong winds, which I hate. So in Taipei I prefer sunny or cloudy days as opposed to rainy days.

Hi Claudine, and thank you for stopping by!

I lived in the Philippines for 10 years when I was a kid, so I know exactly how the typhoon, er, rain, is like. ;) I remember praying before bed that we don’t get a “Signal 3” typhoon whenever I read/hear news regarding weather the next day. I thank God that throughout those ten years that we didn’t have to suffer those crazy floods and other disasters that may ruin our homes and neighborhoods (I lived in Quezon City, then Las Pinas).

Taiwan is a small island, I can imagine how the storms are like over there. My sister and her husband (then fiance during that time) traveled to Taipei and it was raining too. But, no rain or heat can stop them from getting engaged to one another on that time period. ;)

That sounds a lot like what’s happening in Sicily and worse in Middle-southern Italy with the snow – who is up to 3mt high (and caused an avalanche who buried a whole hotel killing 8 people); to me they’re all signs the weather is really going awol due to global warming and becoming dangerous. I hope Trump will change his program on that. :(

About your comment, to me it’s all of those things: I’m too “old” and sensible to understand the tiny mind of people trolling for fun; social media kind of alienated us, making the human brain shrink and causing us to become dumber; the web is “ruled” by kids these days (they’re the ones always online) and all kids are overall cruelly ignorant know-it-all asshats. :/

I did mention in my entry in the beginning that “darker days are ahead,” and what I mean by that is what you mentioned at the end of your first paragraph lol. I absolutely have no faith in this “transition of powers” and I await for my home state to be set free and become its own nation. :D

Like I said, social media is making many kids a lot dumber when it’s supposed to be the opposite LOL. I read some months ago that some idiot kid had a car accident on the freeway because he was doing that stupid Facebook Live video of him speeding on a highway, and not just that, he was taking selfies doing it too. He crashed head on against the trailer of a big rig right in front of him and now he’s in serious condition. Now, call me inhumane, but I feel no sympathy towards people dying for doing something stupid.

I’ll be honest, I prefer the Spring or Fall seasons, which means mild climate and dry. But I should not complain about the rain since California needs it badly. I hope though that the rain allows some days off so the soil can have time to be dry and avoid landslides. There has been some landslides a few weeks ago here in the central coast. But at least, the rains were not as bad as when it’s stormy in the Philippines.

I also need to pull out the weeds from the backyard. My mom is averse is using any weed killer. Well, I’ll just think of it as expending calories. LOL

Well, the rain stopped yesterday or so. The only thing I hate with sunny/non-rainy winters here in California is that it gets cold. When it rains, it gets warm, and it feels good just to enjoy that warmth while listening to the rain outside. That’s why I prefer rainy days during winter lol.

At work, the parking lot has a bit of a “trench,” and because of that, that “trench” floods a lot and that I’d have to sacrifices my shoes/socks in getting wet just to get through. Annoying.
