I’m somewhat halfway done with the child theme, so again, what you see is not the finished product.
I decided to write this entry because I had the urge to. Even though the Lucian Boys dragged me out of the net for over a month now to have a road trip with them, I still need to write this.1
You know the whole saying of the new year, which would mean “new beginnings” or “the reinvention of myself” or “new year’s resolutions”? I had a friend argue with me regarding his not celebrating the new year, and he had a legitimate reason to. It’s mainly because, regardless of trying to reinvent a new life or just trying to change the way a person lives, in the end, we all result being the same as our past selves. Now, this isn’t necessarily true to some people, but now I could see why.
During break at work yesterday, I stopped by some random blogs, and I’m quite appalled that even though a few of them have written long blog entries on how they want to reinvent themselves or start over fresh or whatever, they still had to bring up the negatives of their past. Not only that, but they keep going on and on and on again as if this piece of “news” is something new. They call themselves humble and declare that they have better things to do than to pick on people and bully on them, when just writing about them, even displaying a lot of their information that are considered to be private (such as an IP address, for example), is exactly what they’re doing. I guess just writing and bitching and whining about that person on public is “one of the better things they do than to pick on people and bully on them.” Seriously people, get off your high horses.
If you’re going to talk about your past, talk about your accomplishments and all your positive, happy memories. Those are something that are well worth writing about. You as a blogger become more enthusiastic with writing about the subjects you love… unless writing all the negatives and picking on a number of people specifically over and over and over again are also one of your favorite subjects to write about. Stop declaring that you’re “done with this shit” and that you don’t care if the people you bitch about see/write what you’ve written in your blog, because obviously, you’re not exactly “done with this shit.”
If people are going to declare themselves “starting anew” and then plaster them all over their blogs and social media, then show it. After all, show, don’t tell, right? It’s annoying how some people write crap like this when it’s clear that they’re still stuck in the past.
Alright, I’ve said my piece. Time for me to head to work. Till next time.
