We’re on our second week of this month-long challenge of literary abandon known as NaNoWriMo 2012 in which all writers of all levels have a chance to write a book containing 50,000 words before the end of the month. This would be the fifth time participating in this thirty days of hardcore writing. I really do hope I get another winner badge this year like I did the past few years.
I was able to finish the rough draft of the first book in the Stardust House series and now working on the second book. I will eventually edit these rough drafts anyway when the right time comes. I just want to get all my ideas down on paper because editing while the story’s not yet finished can seriously get in the way and would cause major writer blocks. So far I’m steady, if not blowing the lead away from the target word count everyday.
This year’s NaNoWriMo novel I’m writing is actually related to Stardust House. I don’t know if I should consider it a chapter on its own, however I think it would be best to just continue writing and make it to 50,000 and then reduce it later to a standard chapter format. That should do the trick.
If you have never heard of NaNoWriMo before and you wanted to start with it today, then you’ll seriously have to pump up your hardcore writing to at least 20,000 today if you want to finish your glorious victory before the 30th.
Back to writing now! This was just a quick blurb entry.
