Oh my VEGGIES! is a literal translation of the entry title above.
It is past midnight on Sunday, July 30th. I figured that I had to write something because it is exactly one month since the last time I’ve written an entry here. Taking a break from just general blogging, the blogging circle (?), and anything else related to hobby blogging and keeping myself isolated from all these things is a part of this ADRICULOUS Life. It is what it is and I seriously need this.
And even though I started writing this now, I still am on that stage. I needed to clear my mind and find different inspirations for new ideas for various types of upcoming projects. Sadly, these ideas that began to brim in my mind has got nothing to do with blogging or web development of any kind. Maybe in a way it is, but overall, far from it.
New Story Rough Draft: The Exiled Tindalls
In some ways, I’m still blogging during this period. Just not here on TAL. If I’m not here, I would most likely be on all the other sites. My somewhat abandoned Adri Mars fiction writing blog being one of them.
I blame FFXV and a few not-so-mainstream Netflix historical TV shows for coming up with this concept. I’ve already written the rough draft of the prologue of the prologue, and it’s not available on the Adri Mars blog. I may probably post this up on my abandoned Wattpad or my abandoned FictionPress accounts once I fine-tune this short piece.
I already have begun writing the second prologue of the story and it’s still saved on my Scrivener. I still have yet to map out the chronological chart using Aeon Timeline and I haven’t really gotten to that part just yet. Both writing/organization software designed to write literature of any kind may be expensive to purchase (and it’s a one-time payment!), but I’ve gotten both of these with huge discounts from being a winner of the annual NaNoWriMo writing challenges for the past 7 years, so it wasn’t so much of a problem for me. I began using both of them in sync for some 4 years now and have never looked back. And best of all, free upgrades!
So, please do take some time to read and let me know what you think. It’s a rough draft, but I felt like I needed to show it to everyone interested. That’s blogging right there then. 😄
A small series of WordPress tutorials
In lieu of my current client project, I began to go back to my WordPress online courses as well as enroll in free similar courses. The more that things are broken apart, the more I’m beginning to have a better grasp of the basics in theming, templating, REST APIs, and plugins.
As mentioned earlier, if I’m not blogging here on TAL, I’m probably blogging somewhere else. If not Adri Mars, then perhaps, here at The NINPOJineous. I caught on with WordPress and some advanced techniques, more mentions about local meetups (well not really, that was like some months ago), more about developing using your local environment, and a whole lot more.
I know a few of you are familiar with The NINPOJineous, but I’m sure that most of you never really bothered visiting it. That’s fine with me, as this particular blog primarily serves as my web development learning journal with a tad of arts and creativity outside web development, and of course, tutorials. I also plan on opening a small series of Sass tutorials for those who want to write better, cleaner, and more efficient CSS code being compiled from Sass. Just watch out for it and you’ll see.
I also mentioned that I plan on opening a web shop for some funding for my upcoming training and as a start in my future web development career. Because I have been so artsy-minded and getting my groove back with Adobe Illustrator, I offered to open a custom logo shop for hobbyists and business owners and professional bloggers all at once. You notice the “girly” logos for both this blog and Symmetry? Won’t you want a custom logo looking something whimsical as the ones I have? Stay tuned for this one, once I get everything organized together.
Distracted with video games?
PS4 and Final Fantasy XV, Tales of Zestiria, and a few RPGs.
Amazon Kindle and a series of a few otome sim games.
Dell Inspiron Laptop and The Sims 4.
Sometimes, I just can’t help myself. I read a lot of (e)books through my Kindle, but sometimes, I find a lot more inspiration and ideas from video games. It’s a very bad distraction from all my studying and code practicing and other things, but you know… darn guilty pleasures. 😅 But what I’m happy about right now is that I’m able to break away from going overboard with purchasing Asian skincare products, thanks to my humble Bomibag subscription and other crazy sales that I can find.
Beauty and skincare are easy for me to break away from becoming an unhealthy obsession. But with video games? It’s a lot more difficult.😖
My latest go-to food now? A very humble taqueria truck where I can get very fresh and delicious homestyle Mexican cooking.
The bad news? I forget to post them on Instagram because hey, I’m hungry as heck and I need to eat. Maybe next time, I’ll do better with the foodie macro shots when I can.
What have you all been up to? I rarely have time to visit people’s blogs anymore but I do what I can. After all, how can I remind everyone that I’m still alive in the blogosphere1 and still kicking some asphalt.
Let me know, say hello, you know the deal.
Till next time. 💕
