Earlier today, Mame-chan 3 came back home to me, looking like new.
Or so I thought, anyway.
After I finally set it up back to my desk and finally enjoying its glory for the first 3-4 hours, it shut down on me again, giving me the same problem as I did before. I had to go through about an hour and a half worth of a phone call with a technician to do some manual fixing before more drastic measures happen again. We’ve shut down the computer several times when it finally started working again1 to be sure that it won’t die on me again like what happened hours ago.
The technician said that if I get the same problem again, then I might end up having the entire unit replaced with a brand-new one (or a better system if they’re out of stock). Seriously, I can’t afford to wait another week for a working computer, plus I don’t have a hard drive/flash drive big enough to back up all of my files (I wonder if program files are included here), meaning that I’ll have to dish out some bucks to purchase one with a huge space. Crazy!
Seriously, I haven’t had a good day when it comes to computers as of late, especially during Lent. I’ve given up online gaming (and I haven’t been gaming for the past 2-3 weeks now) but having no computer still drives me crazy. I couldn’t blog properly, I type faster on an actual keyboard with both hands than using my fingers on a touchscreen, I couldn’t do other neat things such as digital painting, and all of that. Maybe I’ll stop by Aura Kingdom when I do have a chance to say hello to the guild peeps and let them know that I’m still alive and currently taking a break.
That’s about it for now. Heading to bed now. Got work tomorrow (even though it’s only a 5-hour shift). More blogging (mainly about last weekend) in the near future should this computer turn on tomorrow. Goodnight, y’all!
