Oh, the end of the year!
It is mid-December 2017, after all. And yet, I will be busy. Again.
I know I should have my linkup At Home posted early this month in December, however, as like everything else, life happened. Aside from the usual Christmas shopping and activities with family, and if I’m going to be making appearances on social media, it would either be for my gaming, coding courses and communities or keeping in touch with my (real life) friends. This is not to say that I’m going to stop blogging. I’m only mentioning that I will possibly be not be blogging about anything throughout the entire month.
What I’ll be doing throughout December:
- Job hunting and preparation. Actually, I’ve been doing this for awhile now but other things got in the way.
- Get together with (real life) friends, catch up with the good times.
- Work, work, and work.
- Developing new themes for this blog and other sites and a rebuilding of my writing site, Adri Mars.
- Christmas gifts from shopping to making DIY packaging and cards.
Adri returns to Eos once again!
I haven’t been blogging much as of late because I went back to writing fanfiction again. You’d have to blame the Comrades DLC of Final Fantasy XV, in which being a Mary Sue or a Gary Sue has become legit for an FFXV fanfiction.1 I’m writing it as a series of stories that involve the Comrades player glaive character (in my case, I named my character Briony Pacem) and her life story on how she ended up in Kingsglaive, her role within Kingsglaive, and her involvement with the main characters in the past. And of course, she and a number of familiar named-heroes are on a brand-new quest to open the doors for the returning of the King of Kings. Ehem.
The fanfic will be uploaded to both FanfictionNET and A3O once I get things going. I should’ve written this during this year’s NaNoWriMo but the inspiration didn’t come to me until early December. And if you’re wondering, yes, there will be more coming for FFXV in 2018.
Saying goodbye to another website… sort of.
I couldn’t figure out what is wrong with my fiction and prose blog, Adri Mars. For some reason, the blog would no longer let me log into the dashboard. It kept giving me errors whenever I try to access the dashboard login even. I’ve done all I can, deleted all of my plugins but that still didn’t work. Besides, it needed a brand-new fresher look with much fresher content that I decided to shut down this site… well, at least, the domain.
I’m rebuilding it under a different domain (and I’m getting addicted to these new domains with cool extensions too!) that sounds a lot more fitting. I’m still using my writing pen name as the domain name, it’s the extension that you should be looking out for. 😄
And now, I must head to bed for more waiting modes. I’ve ordered all of my Christmas gifts and still waiting for their arrival. I haven’t even gotten to the Christmas cards yet.
… and just a few last words before official blog suspension…
We all have our own personal pet peeves. I’ve got mine too. One of those is being compared to others in terms of being who I am. Now, I don’t mind being compared with others in terms of creativity (maybe with art or gaming or writing or whatever), but being compared with another person, especially with names mentioned, based on who I am is something that ticks me off. I’m no better than anyone, and vice versa.
And also, this suspension simply means that real life has taken a toll for this month, and of course, other focus aside from just building personal sites and then blogging on a daily/regular basis. This means that there will be barely any time for me to talk to anyone, with the exception of my family and friends in real life. I’d drop by social media here and then, but that’s it. I will be online a lot obviously, but most likely I would be studying/building class projects, job hunting, making art, writing fanfics, etc. I’d say hi here and there occasionally, but other than that, that’s it.
I hope you all understand. Always feel free to drop by this blog or say hello, but I won’t have much time to do private chit-chatting over DMs or whatever on a daily basis, because, hey, I have my own life and my own worries too.
- In the Comrades DLC, you are your own character in the FFXV world. You create your character ala Sims 4 style, and of course, you can finally declare yourself a true loyal Kingsglaive to the Chosen King… and his homeboys. [↩]
