After realizing (and a few feedback from friends) that the SanafonPro font has been taking awhile to load due to its large file size (mainly because it’s a Japanese font and it can read Japanese text, which is probably the reason why it’s taking awhile to load), I decided to convert all the fonts based on Google Web Fonts. I replaced SanafonPro with both Shadows Into Light and Shadows Into Light Two fonts.
I’m currently testing a second candidate release of the Artisteer 4 program. I basically created this theme using Artisteer 4 because it added so many features in it. One of the main features of this upcoming new version is that it now generates themes and frameworks (I only use this program to build the “skeletal” framework and do most of the CSS tweaking by hand via Notepad++) that are responsive to mobile devices (it’s what we call Responsive Web Design) and for the utter noobs and beginners, be able to create and edit their content and generate them through the program as well.
I don’t think I’m finished with this theme yet. Apparently there is a bug/error whenever you view the single post pages. For instance, you click on the “continue reading —>” link at the bottom of this entry’s excerpt and you will see that ugly error on the top that says “continue reading” also. I’m no expert in PHP1 so I submitted this error to tech support for them to have a look at it. I really do hope that they’d help me with this one.
And that’s it so far. I really like the turnout. Very minimal and whimsical all at the same time and I’m happy with it.
