All I have to say is that this game for the Wii (not really a game, more of an interactive workout system) has got to be the greatest invention to be released at this time.
One of my resolutions for 2009 is to stay fit. Though I have been losing weight gradually I still end up gaining them back. My brother and I gave a joint Christmas present to our parents which was one of the gifts in their wish list— the Wii Fit. The rest of the family began their Wii Fit programs on Christmas Day and I just started mine today. I did some light exercises and stretches from Yoga to strength training and went on to the balance games and aerobic games. My strength training workout did show me that I could no longer balance myself with just my left leg and I definitely need to work on that side. The left has always been my weak side as far as I know and hopefully by the end of 2009 I wouldn’t have that problem anymore.
The program only requires you to work out in 30 minutes but the games are just so addictive that you can even go further past 30 minutes without even knowing. I particularly enjoyed the balance games and the aerobic games but I needed the strength and flexibility training too so I had to do some strength training and Yoga to benefit that. About 7 hours after workout I feel really good. I feel like I’m completely energized even when it’s time for bed.
When I wake up when sunlight comes I’ll feel the sore eventually.
I thought about beginning my Wii Fit training in the mornings before work but I find more inspiration if I do it after I get home from work. It’s like going to the gym after work like some co-workers do. In my case, I finally got to save so much money from gym memberships and Curves and still have a great workout.
I’m looking forward for another training tomorrow. Yay!
