*points @ the entry title* When was the last time I’ve used that nostalgic line…? 2003? Oh hell. I can’t remember anymore.
So, yesterday (since it’s 1:21-ish am Tuesday here now) was my first day of my (part-time) job as an administrative assistant at a quite famous clothing company in a small department dealing with overseeing good work conditions among their factory branches all around the world. When I read the description of the department’s purpose, it somehow gave me a bit of nostalgia at that time. It reminded me of one of my research paper essays back in high school in Economics class when I wrote about work conditions, habits, and safety among factories and its workers. Despite the ugly economy, this company is growing rapidly and is still going strong. I do hope in the meantime that I’ll find a full-time position within this company as I am interested in growing within this company.
First day is like any other first day on the job— training and more training. But what’s good though is that there’s a whole abundance of information and tutorials so I can get used to the company’s internal systems to do my ritual tasks. My cube is really secluded, which is good because I get to concentrate more on my work. I’m not a very huge social person when it comes to workplaces, simply because I’m there to work, right? Other than that, so far, so good. I only go to work three days a week as long as the hours total to 20. Well, let’s see how first week goes so I can figure out how I’m going to work my schedule for Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. I should think Mondays and Wednesdays are always the heavier days, though Thursday may be a heavy day as well, since it’s close to the weekend. I’ll deal with it later.
I’m still compiling my Part 2 of that most-read entry I wrote a few weeks ago. Bare with me, please. It’ll be up soon. Just give me some time. :)
For so many years, I’ve lost touch with my old J-pop/idol/drama fan friends. Granted, we’re all older, much more mature, and definitely living our own lives outside the online fan world, I’m very happy that I’m able to find them again. I even rebuilt my LJ account, though I’ll be rarely writing in it. Maybe I can use it to gain more readers by posting some excerpts and chapters of Freedom Sky Mysteries. We’ll see, we’ll see, we’ll see.
